Devon will miss out on the final for the first time since 2004

Devon's hopes of appearing at Twickenham for the sixth consecutive year came to an end on Sunday with a six-try defeat at Gloucestershire.

The Green and Whites made a strong start in the first period of the County Championship tie, holding the hosts to 3-3 at half-time.

But Gloucestershire scored six tries in the second half as Devon faded.

Devon now play Somerset on Saturday, with third the highest they can finish in the Southern group.
