Nottingham claimed fourth place in National League One with a final day 37-22 win at Coventry. It was not quite as easy as last week at Meadow Lane when Nottingham ran in eight tries to beat Coventry 55-0. This time, it was 15-15 at the break, only for Nottingham to run away with it in the second half. Greig Tonks and Jack Cobden scored a brace of tries each for Nottingham, while Cov's came from Sam Herrington, Kurt Johnson and Jamie Miller. Dan Montagu bagged a try on his final appearance for Nottingham, who also claimed a second-half penalty try, as well as seven points from the boot of David Jackson. Myles Dorrian also kicked two conversions and a penalty for Coventry, who finished eighth in the table to ensure a place in next season's reformed 12-team Championship. But Cov forwards coach Dave Addleton is already predicting that next season will be tougher. "We beat London Welsh, Doncaster and Exeter," Addleton told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. "But next season will be harder. It is going to be a real dogfight". "Consistency is that key word and trying to get that week in, week out."
