Coleman desperate for term to end

Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman is looking forward to next season

Coventry City boss Chris Coleman wants to start focusing on next season after their latest defeat at home to Watford.

After emerging as play-off outsiders, Coventry have now gone seven games without a win - and this time even threw away a two-goal lead to lose 3-2.

"We've finished in the worst possible way," Coleman told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. "We've nothing to celebrate and nothing to be proud of.

"I want to get my teeth into the summer to ensure we're better than this year".

Freddy Eastwood, with his first goal of 2009 and only his fourth of the season, had put the Sky Blues ahead early on before Robbie Simpson doubled their lead.

But Watford then came back to win with three goals inside 16 second-half minutes.

Coleman's side now travel to Roy Keane's Ipswich on the final day of the season looking to end their run of just one win in 12 games.

But Dan Fox, named along with Sky Blues keeper Keiren Westwood in the PFA Championship team of the season on Sunday night, will miss the trip to Portman Road.

The highly-rated defender was sent off late on as frustration got the better of him with an elbow on Watford matchwinner Tamas Priskin.

He now gets an automatic three-game ban, which will also see him still suspended for the first two games of next season.

And fellow defender Elliott Ward is a doubt after coming off at half time with an ankle injury.
