Vickerman scored one of Leeds' three tries |
Premiership-bound Leeds Carnegie finished their National One campaign with a 17-6 win at Plymouth Albion. Leeds came from behind to lead 7-6 at the break through Fosi Pala'amo's try. Sub hooker Vili Ma'asi scored with his first touch in the second half and centre Rob Vickerman's try secured the win for the champions. Fly-half Ross Laidlaw slotted a penalty and a drop goal for Albion, who have sealed their safety prior to Wednesday night's final game at Moseley. Albion are certain of a place in next season's Championship despite their defeat in front of 4,998 fans at Brickfields. Bedford's victory over Esher means that Albion will be one of the 12 clubs who will make up the new league in September.
