Hinton is a former Moseley Colt
Leeds Carnegie have made seven changes for Saturday's trip to Moseley in National League One.
Scott Mathie replaces Joe Bedford at scrum half, while wing Jon Goodridge and centre Scott Barrow start in the backs.
In the forwards Vili Ma'asi comes in at hooker, while prop Juan Gomez returns from a calf injury and Phil Murphy starts at lock.
Leigh Hinton keeps his place at full-back to face his former side.
Wing Tom Biggs is named on the bench after being recalled from England sevens duty alongside team-mate Rob Vickerman.
Leeds face three games in just eight days in a make or break period for the club's promotion dreams and have decided they need every fit player available for them.
Leeds Carnegie head coach Neil Back told BBC Radio Leeds:
"We had a good run against them at home when we ran in eight tries and conceded two, but we know both clubs have moved on from then.
"Moseley have shown a great deal of quality and we will respect them like we do every other team.
"We know if we are not at our best we will come unstuck there just like Exeter did.
"I don't think the fact we meet each other in the Trophy Final in a few weeks will have any effect on this one."
