Tom Rawlings scored two tries for the All Blacks at Wharfedale |
Launceston suffered late heartbreak as they were edged out in their National Two game away at Wharfedale. The Cornish All Blacks were behind for much of the match but took a 24-19 lead in the second half thanks to a second Tom Rawlings try. But a late converted try by Wharfedale saw them edge the contest. Rawlings' first try had made it 19-14 at half time after Wharfedale had led the match 12-0 early on before Jon Fabian's try closed the gap.
Launceston joint head coach Jon Hill told BBC Radio Cornwall: "It was by far the best performance we've had all season, including the 100-point rout of Waterloo. "We played some outstanding rugby today, 100-times better than Cinderford last week. "We've moved on hugely and it's very, very pleasing."
