Rhys Jones' missed conversion cost Pirates a win over Bedford |
Cornish Pirates remain in sixth place in National One after they lost a low-scoring encounter to Bedford on Sunday. Neither side troubled the scorers in the first half and it took until the 54th minute for the visitors to open the scoring. Bedford's Brendan Burke kicked over a penalty to give them a 3-0 lead before Rhys Jones went over for the Pirates. But Jones missed his conversion and Billy Twelvetrees kicked the wining penalty with three minutes to go.
