Mounts Bay crashed out of the National Trophy with a 10-try home defeat to National League One side Nottingham.

Bay started poorly and let their opponents dominate the opening exchanges as Nottingham ran in four tries in the opening 15 minutes.

Nottingham wing David Jackson scored a hat-trick, with scrum-half Chris Pilgrim, fly-half Tim Taylor and lock Nic Rouse also going over.

Mounts Bay did manage to cross the line through Ben Hilton's first-half try.
