Kendal slipped to a narrow 18-17 defeat by rivals Fylde at the Mint Bridge in National Division Three on Saturday. The visitors had the best of the early pressure, with two early tries before a reply sent Kendal in three points down going into the half-time interval. In the second half Kendal went ahead but were unable to make their tries count, missing a string of conversions as the game flowed from end-to-end. Flyde sealed the win at the death with a late try to crush Kendal's hopes.
