Exeter Chiefs prop John Andress has been named in Ireland's 'A' squad ahead of this year's Six Nations. The former Ireland Under-21 man got the news on Tuesday, his 25th birthday. "I am really pleased. It's good to know someone has been keeping an eye on me while I have been playing in England. It was a great birthday present." Andress will be part of the nine-strong 'A panel' which will be supplemented by players from the Ireland national squad for A games. "John thoroughly deserves this selection. He's been playing superbly for Chiefs and everybody at the club is delighted for him," said Exeter Chiefs' director of rugby.
