Griffiths claps the crowd after his red card against Redruth

Mounts Bay's John Griffiths and Dan Seal of the Cornish Pirates have both been suspended by the RFU after being found guilty of striking an opponent.

Griffiths, who was sent off during the derby with Redruth on 20 December, has been banned for five weeks.

He will not be able to play again until Monday, 23 February.

Seal was sent off during the Pirates' win over Otley on 3 Janaury and has been banned for a week - he will be able to return on Monday, 26 January.
