Nicholls conceded that Leeds were too strong for Albion |
Plymouth Albion scrum-half Greg Nicholls says his side simply were not able to deal with the quality of Leeds in Sunday's 49-18 National 1 defeat. Albion led 11-8 midway through the first half following Matt Hopper's early try before Leeds made a comeback. "We certainly started off well," Nicholls told BBC Devon. "I think the first 15-20 minutes we probably shocked Leeds a little bit. "They showed their class in why they're top of the table in the end," he added. "They finished their tries very well. "I think perhaps at times we made it easy for them, and gave them a few too many yards and a couple of missed tackles. "But they're a good side and they finished well." Hooker Gareth Evans got Albion's second try at Headingley after the break.
