Hurrell happy with Cambridge life

Cambridge lock Robbie Hurrell says he enjoys life at West's Renault Park, despite the differences from former club Henley.

Hurrell made the move in the summer but has seen injury limit his playing time.

Hurrell told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "At Henley, when you walk round the ground after after a match there are empty bottles of Moet.

"That's very different from the torn up beer cans at Birmingham; Cambridge sits happily in the middle."

Hurrell was all set to make his debut for Cambridge against Stourbridge on the opening day of the season but suffered a groin injury just moments before kick-off.

"I worked hard in pre-season and was thoroughly looking forward to getting out there and playing," Hurrell said.

"There is nothing more frustrating than slipping over on a wet piece of grass and falling awkwardly five or 10 minutes before kick-off."

Hurrell finally made his debut against Waterloo in October and will be hoping for a start against Tynedale on Saturday.

"They had some good home wins, it'll be a good game, but we should win and win well," he added.
