Diss hope to extend an unbeaten record in London Division Two North, but have their sights set even higher. Having won promotion last season the side have won their first seven games, and head coach Gavin Brock told BBC Radio Norfolk they have high hopes. "I think we could easily hold our own in London League One, after that it becomes a different game financially. "This squad won't reach its potential for another year to 18 months, the age of the team is right at the moment." | On a Sunday morning it's heaving down there, there's some very good youngsters coming through |
A couple of successful seasons could see the club playing in the National League, where local rivals North Walsham had, until recently, spent 18 consecutive years. Brock admits that is a possibility the club are going to look at in detail in the near future. "We are going to sit down with the club president and future president and sort things out," he said. Whatever league they play in, Diss are certainly well-placed for future success, with a huge youth set-up that Brock says is linking up well with the first XV. "You go down on a Sunday morning and it's heaving down there, there's some very good youngsters coming through. "I've got five who are under 20 in the team and another group just below that who we're looking to bring through in a year to 18 months," he said.
