David Jackson cross the line for a landmark try in his career |
Nottingham Rugby achieved a club record ninth league win in a row with a 43-3 victory at Otley on Saturday. Tries from Jack Cobden, Tim Molenaar, Nigel Hall, Andy Savage and Neil Fowkes helped the Green and Whites to their first win at Cross Green since 1994. David Jackson also scored the 50th try of his career. Director of rugby, Glenn Delaney said: "We took our time to grind Otley down but in fairness they showed great tenacity and were very disruptive." He added: "We have to be able to cope with disruption from the teams down at the bottom end of the table better than we did in the first half but I was pleased with how we finished the game. "It was vital that we got five points at Otley, especially with other teams in the top four slipping up." Nottingham are now third in National League One and face the Exeter Chiefs away on Saturday.
