Simon Sharrott is relieved that his side have broken their away duck |
Guernsey captain Simon Sharrott was pleased with the character his side showed in getting their first away win of the season on Saturday. The island side beat lowly London Irish Amateur 20-5 to get their first victory in London South West Division Three away from Footes Lane this season. "It could have gone the other way and we could have lost it," Sharrott said. "But the boys are tough enough characters to pull it together and to get the win that we needed." And Sharrott is hopeful that the win will inspire the side to climb up the table. "Now our season really is on track and hopefully we can use that to get some more confidence and build on another win this weekend," Sharrott told BBC Guernsey.
