Moseley suffered last-gasp heartbreak for the second time in three weeks as another late try condemned them to a 19-15 defeat at Cornish Pirates. Moseley trailed 9-3 at half time but fought back after the break to lead by a point thanks to scores from James Rodwell and Charlie Sharples. The visitors looked like hanging on but an injury-time try from the Pirates sealed their win. Moseley did have the consolation of securing a bonus point. They are in 11th place in the National One table and take on Esher at Billesley Common in their next game. Meanwhile, Moseley have resigned their former back Ollie Thomas from Cornish Pirates. Thomas is Moseley's record points scorer and came through the ranks at the club before leaving for the south west in 2007. "It will be great to pull the shirt back on. I thank the Pirates for my opportunity but I was brought up with Moseley and they will always be my club," Thomas said.
