Rodwell was sin-binned before scoring Moseley's consolation try |
Moseley failed to make the most of their opportunities as they slipped to a 26-17 defeat at Plymouth Albion. The Birmingham-based club slipped to 10th in National League 1 despite enjoying plenty of possession. After leading twice thanks to the boot of Richard Vasey, the visitors fell for a sucker punch as Plymouth scored two breakaway ties just before half-time. Trailing 23-9 at the interval, Moseley could not breach that gap despite a second half try for James Rodwell. Rodwell had earlier spent 10 minutes in the sin bin for a professional foul, and fellow back-row Neil Mason also saw a yellow card for exchanging punches with Plymouth's Arran Cruikshanks. Moseley face another stern test next weekend when they return to the West Country to take on Cornish Pirates, the side one place above them in the National League 1 table.
