Exeter Chiefs captain Richie Baxter is set to make his 300th appearance for the club at Bedford on Saturday. The 30-year-old number eight has come up through the ranks at his hometown club since making his debut at Fylde 11 years ago. "It has come as a bit of a surprise that this game could be my 300th," Baxter said. "It is something I am very proud of, it's just one of those things that sneaks up on you."  | He could fit into any Premiership team easily and I believe he could even get international honours Chiefs director of rugby Pete Drewett | Chiefs director of rugby Pete Drewett was full of praise for his leader. "How often can anybody say they've seen Richie Baxter have a bad game? He just always plays well," he told BBC Radio Devon. "There's no doubt about it, he could fit into any Premiership team easily and I believe he could even get international honours. "We're very lucky that he's committed himself to this club and is so committed to the club," Drewett added.
