Albion still looking for players

Dawe has seen a number of players leave the club

Plymouth Albion coach Graham Dawe says the club are still considering a number of players for next season.

Liam Gibson signed a new contract earlier in the week but otherwise things have been relatively quiet at Brickfields so far this summer.

"We're still looking at players at Plymouth that are playing for Devon, never mind next season so that's a great advantage for us," he said.

"Number one priority is preparing a squad for next season," he added.

Four wins

Albion have seen a host of their top players leave.

Captain Tom Hayes and winger Nic Sesteret have moved to Albion's rivals the Exeter Chiefs.

Back row forward Jannie Bornman was going to move to the Cornish Pirates before his visa fell through.

Lock Ben Gulliver has also gone, leaving Dawe relatively thin on the ground for next season.

Dawe's side had a torrid second half of the year, winning just four matches in 2008.
