Jersey have enjoyed their best season ever

Jersey Rugby Club won promotion into London's top division when they beat Staines 15-0 in their London Two South play-off on Saturday.

Jersey gained the advantage early on with a try that went unconverted but shortly before half-time they scored again to go 12-0 ahead at the interval.

Despite the visitors pressing the play into Jersey's territory for most of the second-half Staines failed to score.

A converted Jersey penalty in the dying minutes secured their promotion.
