Jersey rugby club beat Guildford 51-10 and now have their sights firmly set on the play-offs for promotion from London Two South.

Jersey scored six tries with two from winger Ryan Morgan and one apiece from Graham Bell, Talite Vaioleti, new signing Brian Rennison and Sam Tuia.

Jersey were comfortable and in control throughout and led 30-5 at the break.

Rugby director Dai Burton said: "We're focusing now on the play-offs, really concentrating on that."

Haywards Heath look set to gain automatic promotion at the top of the division, after they passed their crucial test by beating third-place Chobham 26-0 on Saturday.

Jersey, who trail the leaders by one point, are guaranteed at least second place in the league, which would see them battling Staines for promotion into London One.

Burton told BBC Radio Jersey: "I mean we know Haywards Heath are going to continue winning the league, so it's a matter of how we play our rugby now ready for the play-off."

Jersey could grab the top spot, but only if they beat Wimbledon and Maidstone have a shock win over Haywards.

The final league match of the season, a home game for Jersey, will take place on Saturday 19 April.

The play-offs should take place at the St Peter pitch on 26 April.
