John Brennan scores Jersey's fourth try |
Jersey are within one win of clinching a playoff from London Two South after beating bottom club Sevenoaks 65-0. First half tries from Ryan Morgan, Steve O'Brien, Keiaho Bloomfield and Jon Brennan helped put Jersey into a commanding 26-0 interval lead. Bloomfield grabbed his second try after the restart, while Graham Bell, Latu Makaafi and youth players Mark Livesey (two) and Luke Le Sueur also scored. The win keeps Jersey one point behind leaders Haywards Heath. Two-try youth team player Livesey was pleased to get a run out and told BBC Radio Jersey: "It's nice to have the opportunity to play and show what I can do - I haven't been able to all season." Sevenoaks, who will be relegated at the end of the season, kept going right until the final whistle and their coach Graham Arkley admitted: "We were out-muscled by a very physical Jersey pack. "They have recruited well this year, whereas we are a home-grown amateur club really, and it's men against boys really."
