Six Nations citing commissioner Achille Reali has decided no action should be taken following the incident involving Damien Traille during the 27-6 defeat.

And the Six Nations disciplinary panel decided there should be no citings from the weekend matches.

Henderson had been celebrating his 50th cap and 28th birthday on Sunday.

But it was possible he would face a suspension after the incident following France's opening try at Murrayfield.

Tempers flared after Traille illegally blocked Henderson and then aimed a punch at the Scot.

There had been bad feeling between the two players following a match between Glasgow Warriors and Biarritz.

Referee Alain Rolland took advice from the television judge.

And, despite being informed that there had been a headbutt, he simply warned Henderson and awarded a penalty to France from the halfway line.

Henderson is now free to be chosen by Scotland coach Frank Hadden for Saturday's trip to Wales.

Hadden had already delayed naming his squad, which will now be announced on Wednesday, by 24 hours.

A Scottish Rugby spokesman said: "In light of the tight turnaround for this weekend's international in Cardiff and the medical bulletin from Scotland team doctor James Robson, which reported that several players would require further monitoring and treatment over the next 24-36 hours, we have put back the naming of the team."

In the Six Nations Championship, it is up to the citing commissioner to recommend disciplinary action against players and not the individual unions.
