France have recalled number eight Elvis Vermeulen for the first time in three years as they prepare for the first of their two Tests against New Zealand.

Once again Damien Traille, who usually plays at centre, is picked at fly-half and hooker Dimitri Szarzewski, 22, is selected ahead of Raphael Ibanez.

The teams meet in Lyon on Saturday 10 November and in Paris a week later.

France: Laharrague; Dominici, Jauzion, Fritz, Rougerie; Traille, Yachvili; Marconnet, Szarzewski, de Villiers, Pelous (capt), Pape, Dusautoir, Bonnaire, Vermeulen.
Replacements: Ibanez, Milloud, Nallet, Martin, Elissalde, Marty, Heymans
