No regrets for Wigan Warriors' Sean O'Loughlin

Wigan's Sean O'Loughlin does not regret playing two games within 24 hours despite suffering a quad strain during Sunday's win over Wakefield.

The loose forward lasted just 10 minutes for Wigan at Belle Vue after playing in England's 60-6 victory over France the previous day.

But he told BBC Radio Manchester: "I don't regret playing against Wakefield.

"It's just one of those injuries you can do any time and I've just been unlucky it's happened when it did."

He added: "It didn't feel too bad backing up after the France game."

O'Loughlin was full of praise for international and club colleagues Sam and Joel Tomkins, who both played against France at Leigh before turning out again to play the full 80 minutes the next day at Wakefield.

"The body felt good and Sam and Joel felt the same," he said.

"We were assessed before the Wakefield game to make sure we were all right, and we felt good to go and played our part in the win.

"It's a massive effort from both Sam and Joel doing long minutes against France and then Wakefield.

"It is tough but I think we've had the best people around us to make sure we're doing all the right things rehab-wise and making sure our bodies are good."
