Wigan Warriors trio Shaun Ainscough, Liam Farrell and Ben Davies have signed deals with Championship side Widnes. Winger Ainscough and second row forward Farrell have agreed dual registration deals which allow them to play for both clubs during the season. Prop Davies has completed a loan move which is expected to last three months. Wigan chairman Ian Lenagan said: "They will continue to train with the Wigan first-team squad for the majority of each week." He added: "Since the under-20s competition does not commence until March that meant that Shaun, Liam and Ben in the next month might only have played in pre-season friendlies with Wigan which is not ideal after their intensive pre-season preparation. "This opportunity with Widnes works well for the parties involved." The only games Ainscough and Farrell cannot appear for Widnes in are Challenge Cup fixtures. Players are only eligible for dual registration if they join a Championship side and are outside the top 20 earners at their Super League club.
