Tomkins made his Wigan debut in 2008 |
Wigan warriors head coach Brian Noble has praised stand-off Sam Tomkins after Sunday's 36-28 win at Hull KR. Tomkins, 20, scored one of seven tries in a victory which keeps the Warriors within two points of the top five places in Super League. Noble told BBC Radio Manchester: "He has parts of his game that I saw (against Hull KR) which say he's going to be a super player. "He complements our team. He's got a very bright future." Noble added: "I think he's a well put-together piece of work emotionally as well as physically. "If he can keep his feet on the ground, I'll certainly keep them there for him and he's a Wigan boy through and through, but again, let's not put him in the universe team," he added. "Everybody knows my views on Sam - he did show up for us at Hull KR but it was along with the effort of 16 other blokes."
