Smith is now combining the England job with coaching Warrington |
Warrington head coach Tony Smith has refused to get carried away with the purple patch that has seen his side win seven of their last eight games. Wolves beat Hull 24-12 on Sunday, to remain two points adrift of fifth place in the Super League table. Smith told BBC Radio Manchester: "We need to improve if we're going to do some of the things that the fans want us to do. "I won't get carried away and nor will the players." Smith added: "As a coach, if you are satisfied with some of performances we've had in recent times, you're going to get beat. You'll get to the finals and you don't last very long. "If you start to put your values up and standards up a whole lot higher, you know you've got some chance when you get to those finals."
