Warrington (6) 24 Tries: Riley, Wood, King, Harrison Goals: Hicks 4 Hull (6) 12 Tries: Broughton, Yeaman Goals: Tickle 2 Revitalised Warrington made it five wins in their last six Super League matches as they beat visitors Hull. The sides were level at 6-6 at the break after tries from Jodie Broughton and Chris Riley but the Wolves then ran in three tries in 10 minutes. Paul Wood put them in front for the first time before both Matt King and Ben Harrison also went over. Kirk Yeaman replied on the hour but Hull never looked like clawing back the deficit at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. Australian scrum-half Michael Monaghan impressed for the hosts after their pack took control of the game. Warrington had opted to further delay the anticipated debut of former Great Britain winger Brian Carney, who returned to rugby league recently from Irish union side Munster. The Wolves were also missing Lee Briers, Mickey Higham and Paul Rauhihi, with Hull leaving out Chris Thorman despite ending a four-match losing run against Salford last week.
Warrington boss Tony Smith: "Michael Monaghan went well when he switched to hooker and won the man of the match award but I thought he was a far second to Ben Harrison. "Ben was absolutely unbelievable and I'd love some of his energy. He has a huge heart and if you cut him open it would be like Ayers Rock. "We gained the two points the hard way and I would like us to play smarter." Hull coach Richard Agar: "We were good in parts but unfortunately individual errors are haunting us. We gifted them too much field position, especially early in the second half. "We never made them defend double sets and did not make it hard for them. We had to tough it out but weren't able to do it. "We had a little more grunt going forward and there was a lot of effort but not the end product."
