Noble guided Wigan into the play-offs last season |
Head coach Brian Noble believes Wigan Warriors will be in the Super League play-off mix at the end of the season. Noble's side sit ninth in the table after experiencing three wins and five defeats in their first eight games. "We've had to break a few eggs to make this particular omelette," he told the BBC's Super League Show. "But we are now moving in the right direction and as soon as we get both sides of the games together I'm confident we'll be a good threat." Wigan's latest defeat came on Friday night at home to Huddersfield Giants, as they went down 22-8. Noble added: "We'd like it to be a whole lot better but we all need to keep the faith. "There was a lot of positives to come out of the Huddersfield game. "In the modern game, with such media coverage there will also be pressure on a club and coach that losses a few games. "There is always high exceptions at Wigan, I put high expectation on myself, but the only way to get yourself out of it is to work hard with your players to improve and we are doing that."
