Noble wants an improvement from the Wakefield game (Getty) |
Wigan head coach Brian Noble has said his side must improve on recent showings if they are to beat Leeds in Saturday's Challenge Cup quarter-final. Despite winning 38-30 against Wigan on Sunday, Noble was not impressed by the performance of his side. "We'll need to be a whole lot better than we were against Wakefield," Noble told BBC Radio Manchester. "Three second-half tries and a couple of errors made it a little bit too
close for us." The Wigan boss also singled out Gareth Hock as a key figure after the forward produced an outstanding performance against Wakefield. "Gareth has been superb for us this year. He is maturing as we thought he would. "His mentality was good in the second-half and he took the game away from them for us."
