The Wigan defence were run ragged by Saints |
Wigan chairman Maurice Lindsay has vowed to fight on and lead the club through their current crisis. Wigan hit an all-time low on Sunday as they crashed to a record 75-0 defeat against St Helens in the Challenge Cup.
Lindsay has been linked with a move to take charge of new Australian franchise club Gold Coast Chargers.
But he told BBC Radio Five Live: "At this stage of my life it might suit me but I can't do it. I have to stay with the club I have supported all my life."
Lindsay, set to announce a major international signing on Tuesday, and coach Ian Millward called the players together for a meeting on Monday to discuss the club's problems.
The Warriors, who are just three points above the relegation zone, face bottom side Leigh on Friday in a game the club dare not lose.
Lindsay said: "We put it to the players that we cannot carry on like this. We have to find some form from somewhere.
"I feel very badly for the fans. We have got fantastic support and we have hit some heights this season.
"But the last two weeks have brought nothing but misery and we have got to fight our way through it."
