Morley joined Warrington Wolves from the Bradford Bulls in 2006 |
Warrington Wolves captain Adrian Morley says he has been impressed with the level of competition in Super League. The 33-year-old says the standards have improved and the shock results have shaken the big teams. He told BBC Radio Merseyside: "That's what we want. We don't want a Super League where the usual suspects get a monopoly on the Super League. "We want an evenly contested competition where any team on their day can knock another team off." Morley added: "I think it's great Castleford are up there and Harlequins were right up there at the start of the season and Huddersfield are up there. "So as long as we start winning again, I'm all for these upsets. I think this is going to be the most evenly contested Super League on record. | We've had a couple of little blips but it's nothing a bit of hard work on the training field won't sort out Warrington captain Adrian Morley |
"Year on year it's been improving and the so-called lesser clubs are improving and they're catching the big boys." Warrington have been one of the leading teams in the 2011 season, but have suffered back-to-back defeats by Catalan Dragons and Huddersfield, with the Wolves dropping to fourth. The former Leeds and Bradford forward says he is confident his team will get over their recent set-backs. "We've got a few problems we need to work out but you don't suddenly go from a good team, one that is a contender, to a bad team overnight," said Morley. "We've had a couple of little blips, but it's nothing a bit of hard work on the training field won't sort out and I'm sure you'll see a marked improvement."
