Warrington Wolves and James Lowes part company

James Lowes
Lowes played for Bradford Bulls from 1996 until 2003

Warrington Wolves have parted company with assistant coach James Lowes.

The 41-year-old had a spell in charge of the Wolves and was also assistant to England coach Steve McNamara during the recent Four Nations series.

Lowes, who is leaving to pursue other ventures, said: "I would like to thank all the coaches, players and staff at the club.

"The time has come for me to move on and I know that the club is in very good hands."

Lowes joined Warrington as assistant coach to Paul Cullen in 2007 after holding a similar position at Salford, and became head coach the following year, before reverting to his original role after the arrival of Tony Smith.

Smith added: "Jimmy has left the club on really good terms and I would like to thank him for his contributions throughout my time here."
