Warrington captain Adrian Morley says the squad are hungry for more success ahead of the new season.

Wolves won their first silverware for 35 years last year beating Huddersfield 25-16 to lift the Challenge Cup.

"There's nothing like a bit of pressure to bring out the best in you," Morley told BBC Radio Merseyside.

"There are expectations but we expect a lot from ourselves. We have had a taste of success winning the Challenge Cup last year and we want more of it."

He added: "We want to do well in both competitions this year. If we're being really hard on ourselves, to win the Challenge Cup was fantastic, but to finish 10th in the Super League was pretty terrible by our standards.

"So we want to do well in both competitions."

The 32-year-old is relishing the prospect of another Super League campaign at a time when all aspects of his career are going well, having signed a contract extension.

"I'm feeling great actually," Morley continued. "The last two seasons I've been very lucky with injuries and that's half the battle, if you look after yourself.

"If you have a bit of luck with injuries you can play a bit longer, with the better training techniques and the information you're given on diet.

"I've just signed an extension to my contract, as this was due to be the last year of my contract. I've extended that, so as long as I'm enjoying the game and feel as though I'm doing my job, I'll play as long as I'm enjoying it.

"At the minute I'm really enjoying it. Being given the captaincy has given me a new lease of life and I'm very excited.

"I'm just as excited now as I was when I was a young whipper-snapper coming through at Leeds."

Warrington's first game of the 2010 Super League season is against Harlequins at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Sunday, 7 February.
