Morley clutches his face after getting injured against Hull KR |
Warrington forward Adrian Morley faces six weeks on the sidelines after suffering his second facial fracture of the new Super League season. The 29-year-old sustained a displaced fracture of the cheekbone against Hull KR on Sunday and will undergo an operation later this week.
The incident occurred just 17 minutes into his comeback following surgery on a fractured eye socket.
"I am absolutely devastated," he told the Manchester Evening News.
"This is a different part of my face but it's another freak accident."

Morley suffered the injury after clashing heads with Warrington and Great Britain team-mate Paul Johnson as they attempted to make a tackle on Hull KR full-back Ben Cockayne.
"I just couldn't believe it," he added. "I knew straight away it wasn't too good because my face started to indent and it was swollen.
"I have spoken to my coach Paul Cullen, who is very disappointed but told me just to do what needs to be done and to keep my fitness up.
"It's the last thing I wanted to happen. It's a real sickener."
Morley, who joined the Wolves from Sydney Roosters in the off-season, fractured his eye socket after a clash of heads with Wigan prop Eamonn O'Carroll less than 40 minutes into his Warrington debut on 9 February.
The second rower spent hours in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber in order to speed up his recovery from the injury and returned ahead of schedule.
Morley added that he would use the chamber again this time.
Warrington coach Cullen said the two injuries were not linked and that he hoped to have Morley back in time to face Salford at the Millennium Stadium in May.
"For those questioning whether he came back too soon, I have to say he came back early but with 100% consent from the surgeon," said Cullen.
"In fact, he came back four weeks and three days early but this time will go the full course.
"We are aiming for the Millennium Magic weekend and, if not, then the round after that."
