Kear's Wildcats have lost their last two matches |
Head coach John Kear says there was no excuse for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats' home hammering by Huddersfield Giants. The Wildcats went down 52-0 at the Hearwell Stadium on Saturday night to make it two straight defeats. "As a team and as individuals we were prepared as we should have been," Kear told BBC Radio Leeds. "We have to stand up and take this on the chin and make sure we are much better next week. This is a big of the players now." Wakefield go to Hull KR on Friday night looking to rediscover the form that took them top of Super League after the first three rounds. | We'll review the tape but we'll struggle to find any positives at all from this Wakefield coach John Kear |
"We all take the pats on the back when things go well, so we have to take the criticism as well," explained Kear. "All our hard work and the respect we built up from the first of the season has been blown apart in 80 minutes. We were woeful. "We need to examine our preparation for this game and why it all went so wrong. We'll review the tape but we'll struggle to find any positives at all from this. "We'll regroup and review each individual performance and hopefully come up with something better next Friday. We have to really because that was unacceptable."
