Shane Tronc raring to go at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats
Tronc made 125 appearances for North Queensland Cowboys
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats' Australian prop Shane Tronc says he cannot wait to make his Super League debut.
Tron is one of six new signings and could make his debut in a Boxing Day friendly against Leeds Rhinos.
"They're a really good club on the up and I just can't wait to get on the field and start playing for them," Tronc told BBC Radio Leeds.
"I'll just do my best and if I'm stuffed at the end of the game I'll know I've put in."
At 6ft 4in Tronc will add stature to the Wildcats forward pack for 2010.
"There's some real big boys in the gym throwing the weights around and then Paul King signed at the end of last week - the bigger the better," he said.
Tronc moves to the Hearwell Stadium after five years with North Queensland Cowboys in the NRL.
"I just get in there and do plenty of work. There's not much nonsense or fuss about me. I just take the ball forward and work all day," he said.
Tronc joins fellow new signings Terry Newton, Glenn Morrison, Darryl Millard, Ben Jeffries and Paul King with former Great Britain international Paul Johnson expected to follow suit after joining the squad for pre-season training.
