Wakefield are set to sign Canterbury Bulldogs forward Frank Winterstein, who has joined the Super League side subject to being granted a work visa. Winterstein played five games for the Bulldogs in the Australian National Rugby League last season. The 22-year-old was born in Canterbury and is a former Australian schoolboy international who now plays for Samoa. He is waiting for a visa, with the Wildcats hoping he will be available to bolster their pack within a month.  | 606: DEBATE |
Several overseas players, including Leeds' signing Greg Eastwood and Bradford's Greg Bird, have been denied entry into the United Kingdom by the UK Border Agency, but the Wildcats are confident Winterstein meets all the relevant criteria.
