Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have agreed new deals with four key players. Richard Moore and Dale Ferguson will remain with Wildcats until the end of 2011, and Sean Gleeson until 2010. Centre Ryan Atkins, who had a year left on his contract, has also agreed to stay at Belle Vue until 2011, much to the delight of head coach John Kear. He said: "This is a clear indication that Wakefield are building a base of highly talented, young, British players who will take the club forward." Back rower Ferguson, prop Moore and three-quarter Gleeson were all out of contract at the end of this season, but after impressing in the first-team this year, the trio have agreed to extend their stay at Wakefield. Kear said: "It sends the message out to the fans we fully intend to be part of Super League in the immediate future and in the long-term. "Sean Gleeson, Dale Ferguson and Richard Moore were out of contract at the end of this year and consequently the club have acted in order to warn off imminent competition. "Ryan Atkins has been looked at by so-called 'bigger clubs' and therefore we're delighted to have him signed up and delighted to have four talented individuals commit to being part of the Wildcats' future."
