Wakefield centre Ryan Atkins has signed a new three-year deal with the club. The 20-year-old has impressed at the Wildcats this year following his move from Bradford earlier in the season.
He signed a two-year deal in May following a successful loan spell and has made 19 appearances for the club, scoring nine tries.
"I am looking forward to working with Ryan to ensure that he fulfils his undoubted potential," said Wakefield head coach John Kear.
"There is no doubt that he is one of the brightest young British players in Super League.
"This has been proven by his inclusion in the England squad for the Federation Shield tournament."
Atkins, who missed the final game of the season against Castleford with an ankle injury, is expected to link up with the England squad next month.
