Fa'asavalu's tackle placed undue pressure on his opponent's joints |
St Helens prop Maurie Fa'asavalu has been handed a one-match ban after being found guilty of an illegal tackle against Celtic Crusaders. The England international was banned by the Rugby Football League disciplinary panel for using a tackle that placed undue pressure on a player's joints. Fa'asavalu was fined £300 and will miss Friday's home game against Salford. But the Samoan-born forward will be eligible to face Super League champions Leeds Rhinos a week later.
