Quins winger Sharp wanted five tries against Catalans
Sharp was called a "freak" by coach Brian McDermott after his hat-trick
Harlequins winger Will Sharp says he was disappointed to only score a hat-trick in his side's 16-4 Super League victory over Catalans Dragons.
Sharp scored a 45-minute treble in Quins' first home win since 6 June and their first victory this campaign.
"I was angry that I didn't get five," Sharp told BBC London 94.9 ahead of Sunday's game against Melbourne Storm.
"I thought there was a couple of chances I could have got a few more. A lot of stuff went right in that game."
He continued: "There's still parts of our game that we need to improve. In the second half, I thought our defence was good, but it could have been better."
For his second try, Sharp plucked the ball out of the air after Danny Orr had kicked to the corner.
"We practiced catching those high balls, attacking kicks all week so when it came I knew what I was doing. It was simple," said Sharp.
"I like the first [try] because I offloaded it, then backed-up. I was on the other side of the field as well, so it was kind of cool."
Quins' next game is a friendly with NRL champions Melbourne, who are in England for their World Club Challenge clash with Leeds Rhinos later this month.
"It will be a good run-out against Melbourne," said Sharp. "It's good experience, just seeing what they do. I'm looking forward to it."
