Purdham left his Cumbrian farm to join the Londoners in 2002 |
Harlequins captain Rob Purdham could miss the start of the Super League season with a shoulder injury. The 29-year-old England international, who has been at the London club since joining them from Whitehaven in 2002, signed a two-year deal in the summer. "We are seeking medical advice at present and an announcement will be made later this week," said a Harlequins spokesman. Meanwhile, Australian second row Chad Robinson has left by mutual consent. The 29-year-old suffered an injury-plagued debut season in England last year, twice undergoing knee surgery. Quins head coach Brian McDermott said: "In his short time with us, Chad bought into everything the club is trying to achieve. "He is one of those players that put their hands up for work when the going gets tough. "Chad and his family return to Australia with the very best wishes of the London rugby league community." The club have also confirmed that the game with Huddersfield on 20 March has been brought forward 15 minutes until 1745 GMT.
