New Harlequins RL signing Luke Williamson has said he is happy with the way he has settled in ahead of his debut season in Super League.

The second-row forward has moved to Quins from NRL champions Manly Sea Eagles on a two-year contract.

He told BBC London 94.9: "Down in London you're out of the spotlight a little bit and can concentrate on your own business.

"It's everything I expected it to be, and more. Things are going very well."

Quins begin their season against Bradford on Sunday and Williamson said the side are itching to get their campaign going.

"We've had a good off-season, played a good couple of trial games and are looking to consolidate a good combination within the side," he said.

"We're very optimistic ahead of Sunday and we'd like to win our first home game of the season to kick off 2009."
