Morgan believes players want to play for his successful club |
Hull Kingston Rovers coach Justin Morgan believes the club are becoming an attractive proposition for players. The Robins are currently second in the Super League table and will progress to the Challenge Cup quarter final if they beat Sheffield on Sunday. "I think the players here will testify to that," he told BBC Radio Humberside. "You talk about players and they want to play in the big games and to win trophies and hopefully we can provide them with that opportunity." The Rovers coach has revealed that it was personal ambition that persuaded England international winger Peter Fox to sign a new three-year contract. "I think he is a very ambitious person and ambitious player and I think that matches the club's ambition," Morgan said. "He's very keen to get some individual honours but he's also keen to get some team honours and he feels our club can provide that." Fox was disappointed not to have made the England squad for the World Cup trip to Australia last year after scoring tries on his international debut against France and in the game against Wales at the Keepmoat Stadium.
