Cockayne signed a three-year deal with Hull KR in August

Hull KR back Ben Cockayne will appear in court accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Cockayne, 24, made a brief appearance at Wakefield Magistrates Court on Tuesday where he confirmed his name, address and age.

The magistrates sent the case to be heard at Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday, 23 September.

Cockayne, who was dressed in a grey sweater and blue jeans, was granted conditional bail.
