Galea is a former Australian Grand Final winner with Wests Tigers |
Hull Kingston Rovers back row forward Ben Galea will miss the Robins' trip to Huddersfield next weekend. The former Wests Tigers player picked up an injury during Rovers' Challenge Cup win over the Giants at Craven Park. The Australian will have tests later this week to determine the extent of the damage to his knee. Galea told BBC Radio Humberside: "I don't know the damage but there's certainly something wrong. I expect I'll be out for at least a few weeks." The Parramatta-born 29-year-old has been an ever present in the Super League this season for the Red and Whites. But he limped out of Sunday's 42-22 win over Huddersfield during the second half after taking a hefty bang on the knee and was unable to play any further part. Galea says it is disappointing but believes Rovers coach Justin Morgan has enough players in the squad to cover his absence. "I've had a good run so far, " he said. "And I'll find out later in the week just what the damage is. "But we've got the players here to fill the spot and I'm confident that they can do the job for the team."
