Briscoe was taken off before half time with a bloodied nose
A stirring second-half resurgence earned Hull KR an enthralling victory over Huddersfield in the fifth round of the Challenge Cup at Craven Park.
The Giants took the lead after tries from Paul Whatuira and Ryan Hudson.
But scores from Scott Murrell, Daniel Fitzhenry, Peter Fox and Shaun Briscoe put the Robins 20-12 up at half-time.
Huddersfield regained the lead through Whatuira and Martin Aspinwall, but tries by Mick Vella, Fox, Chris Chester and Ben Fisher won the game for Rovers.
Morgan proud to progress to quarter-finals
The match was yet another try-filled Challenge Cup encounter - albeit abetted by a series of handling errors - in the balmy east Yorkshire sun.
The visitors began confidently when Whatuira collected Luke Robinson's deflected grubber kick to touch down on 12 minutes.
The New Zealand international's finish rounded off a sweeping Giants move from inside their own in-goal area in one set of six tackles, largely thanks to a fine break from Kevin Brown.
They soon doubled their lead after yet another dazzling passing move, with Ben Snitch supplying the killer offload for Hudson to go under the posts unopposed.
But the home side halved the arrears when Murrell held off three tacklers to score a 24th-minute try, with Paul Cooke adding the first of his five goals of the afternoon.
A wonderful left-footed Ben Cockayne grubber was brilliantly finished by Fitzhenry, who had just inches to work with before sliding beyond the dead-ball line.
And the Robins took the lead on the half hour when Giants full-back Rod Jensen spilled his second high ball of the afternoon, with the resulting loose ball farmed out to winger Fox to touch down for the first of his two scores.
Briscoe extended the lead two minutes before the interval when the full-back finished off yet another pinpoint grubber kick, this time from Fisher.
A half-time rollicking from coach Jon Sharp saw the Giants hit back just two minutes into the second half when Whatuira collected the ball from a handling error to outpace Cockayne to the corner.
The visitors levelled the game thanks to the strength and vision of Eorl Crabtree, who held off four tacklers to offload for Aspinwall to dive in the right-hand corner.
But yet again the Robins hit straight back with three quick tries to put the game beyond doubt, the first through Fox, who collected a forward-looking pass from Chev Walker.
And strapping prop Vella extended the lead further when he powered home from five yards before Chester touched down in the 74th minute after fine work from Clint Newton.
Fisher secured an emphatic victory when Kirk Netherton's inside pass gave him an easy passage under the posts in the 76th minute.
"Ball control is a bit of an issue but I'll put that down to the weather.
"Overall I thought it was a very convincing display. The slow start is a little bit of an issue but we stayed composed and our kicking game was very good."
Huddersfield coach Jon Sharp: "A couple of individuals hurt us today.
"They didn't have the best days and didn't handle some of the errors that they came up with and ultimately we paid the price for that.
"It's the kicks that we're conceding tries from which is something that we're working on.
